About Ueno Park

Ueno Park is a spacious public park in the Ueno district of Taitō, Tokyo, Japan. The park was established in 1873 on lands formerly belonging to the temple of Kan'ei-ji.

Lovely setting, very clean, very good service. We went back for dinner a few days later. Not to be missed if visiting Ueno Park and or museums.

The cafe is located in the entrance of the park. Great view of the cherry blossoms. Menu is limited. Tea and desserts were amazing.

We had lunch at the cafe after visiting the national museum. The cafe has indoor and outdoor seating. The menu is limited, mostly pastas, I had the spaghetti meat sauce which was very good. Service was good. The menu had a nice selection of desserts...and teas

We had eaten there every time we visited Japan and always visited this cafe 20 times in the last 18 months. As mentioned by other reviews, the queue system makes literally no sense, you have to wait in line despite there being at least 10 free tables. Wanted to go there at the end of the afternoon for a quick tea break when we saw the...nice outdoor tables, but ended up going to Starbucks instead in the end because of that. After a day walking through this busy park it is nice to step back and have a break in a quite peaceful place. We opted for the old faithful apple pie and was not disappointed to say that it was special.

Stopped for lunch after visiting the National Museum... avoided the Starbucks on the other side of the square... because Starbucks... but after lunch should have gone to Starbucks... They could write up the queue booking system in English as well as Japanese given the number...of tourists around... just saying.. Menu was limited and food was ave... see more
