About Nezu-jinja Shrine

Nezu Shrine is a Shinto shrine located in the Bunkyō ward of Tokyo, Japan. Established in 1705, it is one of the oldest places of worship in the city, and several of the buildings on the shrine grounds have been designated as Important Cultural Property.

Beautiful shrine, with a fascinating history. Many people enjoying their day. It is worth visiting the shrine inside the shrine.

It is quiet, and you can spend your time on several benches. It is stunning in photographs and the appearance of the torii gate looks amazing. It is a great place to visit during the azalea seasons. However, it can get quite busy on weekends. The site is currently under construction, making it quite loud. (

The first thing that I noticed when I arrived at the Nezu Shrine was the beautiful, long red path. It is surrounded by trees. This was amazing. The sanctuary was beautiful and I was able to see the old structures. It was peaceful and calm everywhere. I found the visit to Nezu Shrine interesting. When you step through the gate, the sounds of the city go away and you are put in a calm space with lots of greenery. There s plenty to see so if you are near, it s definitely worth checking out.
